Wake-A-Thon 2008

The annual Wake-a-Thon was held on December 4 at NRHS. The event went very well with over 100 students pulling an all-nighter while participating in this great cause. The event raised over $3 000 with all proceeds going towards local charities. Donations have been made to organizations throughout our community such as Pictou County Food Bank, SPCA, New Leaf, Tearmin House, and the NRHS Benevolent Fund. Students also raised enough money to continue to sponsor the child through World Vision we previously sponsored last year. Also, we would like to thank all the participants and volunteer chaperones, it was greatly appreciated!
