Gay-Straight Alliance

The Gay/Straight Alliance is a diverse group of students, of all sexualities, interested in making our school a better place for everyone. The GSA has held several events to emphasize the harm that homophobia has on youth and others. The GSA meets every Thursday in the Teen Health Centre; its staff advisor is Jane Thompson. Its main annual event is the Day of Silence, which is an event where students choose to remain silent to reflect the silence of people who are bullied because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
